Starbucks and Gevalia

The time coffee was discovered was the beginning of new era – Coffee Era. This drink makes people addicted to its taste, color and smell. But on the other side, coffee makes them more energetic, fresh and ready fight all the troubles of our real life. That is why it has become so natural to meet friends in the coffee houses and chat with them sipping some espresso drink or cappuccino. Some people just drink coffee and others prefer really to enjoy it and indulge themselves. And these connoisseurs know the price to real coffee with perfect taste and smell. And usually they choose between Starbucks coffee and Gevalia coffee.

Starbucks. Starbucks Corporation is a global coffee company and a chain of coffee houses. Starbucks has its coffee shops all over the world. The company was founded as local coffee bean roaster retailer. But later on it expanded rapidly and greatly. The history of the establishment of this corporation is very interested. Starbucks was founded by three intellectuals: history teacher Zev Siegel, English teacher Jerry Baldwin and a writer Gordon Bowker. All them were inspired by the novel “Moby Dick” and decided to open a store to sell high quality coffee beans and to name it after the first mate in the novel. Starbucks is often criticized for the development of the American imperialism. But it does not influence the quality of the Starbucks coffee.

Gevalia. Gevalia Coffee is a Scandinavian coffee roastery. The company entered the North American market in 1983 as an expensive premium coffee. The King of Sweden provided Gevalia Coffee with a Royal Warrant on the quality. But notwithstanding this fact, the company uses different methods to market its product in the United States and these methods does not always meet the desires and needs of the consumers. That is why there have been many complaints posted against the company. Still, Gevalia coffee is really a premium coffee and deserves the best characteristics.

The Ultimate Chopper

There have been many stories of some exclusive products and services that have been broadly advertised and then just disappeared. There should be some serious reasons for the popular product to disappear totally from the market. And these stories include different bloody fragments and romantic spirits. The history of the Ultimate Chopper is not probably that interesting but still. Huge failure cannot be uninteresting at least because it can be enlightening and useful.

About the appliance. The shopper complaints Ultimate Chopper was such a kitchen appliance. It was extensively advertised on television and sold mainly through the direct television. The advertisement of Ultimate Chopper was outstanding because that was a thirty minute infomercial. The Ultimate Chopper appliance does chopping, mixing, whipping and prepares food. The appliance comes in package with power base, three blades, one of which is plastic and other two are stainless steel blades; chopping cup to set the blades or ingredients and interlocking lid. Besides, the shopper complaints was advertised in the assembly with the Ultimate Blender and free juice extractor or all-purpose knife. To advertise the product, the company invited popular celebrities as hosts.

How it was recalled. In 2005 there was a great recall announced for appliance. The recall was based upon the numerous facts of malfunction in the interlocking lid. Due to this problem, the Ultimate Chopper could run without the lid in order and the consumers could lose the lacerate or fingertip if inserting the hands in the food processor. That is why many consumers filed safety complaints against the manufacturer of the shopper complaints. All of them were injured by the appliance and needed surgery. Thus, the Ultimate Chopper had been sold only for three years before the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled it. Though, some TV channels still advertise the Ultimate Chopper. The producer probably wants to sell the rest of the appliances. That is why now the Ultimate Chopper is discounted.
