Starbucks. Starbucks Corporation is a global coffee company and a chain of coffee houses. Starbucks has its coffee shops all over the world. The company was founded as local coffee bean roaster retailer. But later on it expanded rapidly and greatly. The history of the establishment of this corporation is very interested. Starbucks was founded by three intellectuals: history teacher Zev Siegel, English teacher Jerry Baldwin and a writer Gordon Bowker. All them were inspired by the novel “Moby Dick” and decided to open a store to sell high quality coffee beans and to name it after the first mate in the novel. Starbucks is often criticized for the development of the American imperialism. But it does not influence the quality of the Starbucks coffee.
Gevalia. Gevalia Coffee is a Scandinavian coffee roastery. The company entered the North American market in 1983 as an expensive premium coffee. The King of Sweden provided Gevalia Coffee with a Royal Warrant on the quality. But notwithstanding this fact, the company uses different methods to market its product in the United States and these methods does not always meet the desires and needs of the consumers. That is why there have been many complaints posted against the company. Still, Gevalia coffee is really a premium coffee and deserves the best characteristics.
